2024 running back Peyton Lewis commits to Tennessee

No. 1 2024 Virginia running back Peyton Lewis commits to Tennessee.

Four-star running back Peyton Lewis announced his commitment to Tennessee on Saturday.

Lewis committed to the Vols over Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Penn State.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound running back is from Salem High School in Salem, Virginia.

Lewis is the No. 197 overall prospect and No. 13 running back in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 1 running back and No. 4 player in Virginia, according to On3s industry rankings.

Lewis earned first-team Class 4A Virginia all-state honors as a running back and kick returner last season. He was also named second-team all-state as a punt returner.

Lewis is Tennessee’s 12th 2024 commitment and the first running back in the recruiting class.

Following Lewis’ commitment, Tennessee’s 2024 class ranks ninth nationally and fifth in the Southeastern Conference.

Lewis has the ability to showcase patience in the backfield while providing speed once finding running lanes.
