2024 NFL draft order: Broncos still on track for top-3 pick

If the 2023 season ended today, the Broncos would hold the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

Following another disappointing loss in Week 6, the Denver Broncos remain on track to secure a top-three pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

If the 2023 season ended today, the Broncos would hold the third overall pick in next year’s draft with a 1-5 record. The only winless team remaining, the 0-6 Carolina Panthers, previously traded their first-round pick to the Chicago Bears.

So right now, the 1-5 Bears are on pace to have the first two picks in next year’s draft. Three other teams besides Denver and Chicago are also 1-5, but they are lower in the order based on a strength of schedule tiebreaker.

Here’s a look at the current order of the top-ten NFL draft picks for 2024, courtesy of Tankathon.com.

1. Chicago Bears (via Panthers, 0-6)
2. Bears (1-5)
3. Broncos (1-5)
4. Arizona Cardinals (1-5)
5. New York Giants (1-5)
6. New England Patriots (1-5)
7. Minnesota Vikings (2-4)
8. Tennessee Titans (2-4)
9. Green Bay Packers (2-3)
10. Los Angeles Chargers (2-3)

Denver currently holds six picks to use in next year’s draft. The 2024 NFL draft will be held in Detroit from April 25-27.
