The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a 2nd consecutive 4-13 season, but  entering 2024 things are going in the right direction and they hope to take the next step toward being a playoff contender in the 2nd year with Jonathan Gannon as coach and Monti Ossenfort as general manager.

Below, we look at the Arizona Cardinals’ 2024 NFL Super Bowl odds from FanDuel Sportsbook along with projected win total, playoff, conference and division odds as we make our best NFL picks and predictions.

The Cardinals have made some key additions this offseason, especially on defense. In free agency, they added CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, linebacker Mack Wilson, and they bulked up the defensive line with Justin JonesBilal NicholsKhyiris Tonga and re-signed L.J. Collier.

They also drafted Missouri DL Darius Robinson and added 3 cornerbacks in the NFL draft.

Offensively, the most important piece is that QB Kyler Murray is healthy this offseason. He returned from a torn ACL last season and closed the season strong, leading the team to 3 wins in 5 games with 1 of the worst rosters in the NFL.

RB James Conner and TE Trey McBride return, and the Cardinals added WR Marvin Harrison Jr. out of Ohio State with the 4th overall pick in the draft, and signed WR Zay Jones to bolster their receiving corps.

Cardinals over/under win total

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook – last updated May 16 at 12:28 p.m. ET; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list.

  • 6.5 wins: (Over: -165 | Under: +130)

They won 4 games last season, winning 3 of their final 8 with Murray starting again, but without hardly anyone at receiver by the end of the season.

The defense has to be better and should be, rather than arguably the worst in the entire league, at least a little below average.

With a full season of a healthy Murray throwing to McBride and now Harrison, they should be a team that is in the mix.

Their schedule is a beast, though, especially early. They face 5 playoff teams from 2023 in the 1st 6 games of the season.

They do get the Patriots and Panthers late. If they can survive the early stretch, they have ceiling of probably about 9 wins.

That said, while I like the Over, I don’t like it at -160.

PASS.

Cardinals Super Bowl odds

  • +8000 (bet $100 to win $8,000)

The Cardinals don’t have the longest odds to win the Super Bowl like they did a year ago, but they are still long shots.

San Francisco (+550) and Kansas City (+600) are the favorites to win this year after appearing in the last Super Bowl. Baltimore comes in next at +950.

As for the Cardinals, they are still barely competing for a Wild Card berth. Just making the postseason would be an accomplishment. They have an improved roster and young talent, but they are not at all in this conversation yet.

At +8000 odds, they have an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of only 1.23% or 80/1 fractional odds.

Even a small wager isn’t really worth it this year.

PASS.

Will Cardinals make the playoffs?

  • Yes +290 | No -385

If you are looking for a high-reward sleeper bet, this is the 1 to make.

Murray’s play over the final 3 games of last season looked close to what he did in a stretch of 2020 and the first half of 2021 when he was getting MVP talk.

They were incredibly competitive with a bad roster last season. They have Murray healthy to start the year with more and better weapons. Over the final 8 games of the season with Murray starting again, the offense was a top-10 unit in many metrics (despite getting nothing from their receivers).

The defense will 100% be better. They should reasonably move from the bottom of the league to the upper part of the bottom half of the league. If they are not terrible on defense and do offensively what they did to close last season, they will be competitive.

Winning 9 games and making it to the postseason is what their reasonable ceiling is, and that comes with a nice payout.

Backing CARDINALS TO MAKE PLAYOFFS (+290) is worth at least a small wager.

Odds to win NFC West Division

  • 49ers -195 (bet $195 to win $100)
  • Rams +330 (bet $100 to win $330)
  • Seahawks +750 (bet $100 to win $750)
  • Cardinals +1200 (bet $100 to win $1,200)

The 49ers are still the class of the division as the defending NFC champions. They still have the core of their offense.

While Arizona is improved, no one should mistake them for a team that threatens to win the division, especially with the longest odds.

After consecutive 4-win seasons, baby steps. Maybe a Wild Card.

At +1200 odds, they only have 7.69% implied odds of winning the West or 12/1 fractional odds.

Cardinals’ odds to win NFC

  • +4500 (bet $100 to win $4,500)

They don’t have the longest odds to win the conference, but they are still long shots. Only 3 teams have longer odds.

They are, at best, a Wild Card team. They are not on the same level as the 49ers (+250), Lions (+600), Eagles (+650) or Cowboys (+650).
