Texas A&M 2023 football season is, of course, the focus. Still, it’s my job to remind all of you that one of the last remaining high-priority recruits in the 2024 cycle, five-star wide receiver/defensive back Terry Bussey, is set to commit late next week, capping off one of the more anticipated announcements the most productive player in the class.
Last week, Bussey updated us on his official decision date, revealing that he will choose between Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, and the current favorite to land the future superstar, Texas A&M.
Bussey’s position versatility and impressive track speed have led to nearly every program having to narrow down his sole future postion after spending time at quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back, as Fisher currently sees him as a cornerback in D.J. Durkin’s 4-2-5 scheme. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if his future is in the slot due to his extensive time at wide receiver.

Amid his senior season at Timpson (TX), Bussey is currently positioned as the 19th-ranked player in the 2024 cycle, the 2nd-ranked athlete, and the 5th-ranked player in Texas, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
From a prediction standpoint, Bussey has now received three “Crystal Balls” to land with Texas A&M. Oklahoma insider Collin Kennedy and national recruiting analyst Mike Roach join Steve Wiltfong and Brian Perroni in predicting what now seems inevitable.
If this prediction holds, Jimbo Fisher and his staff, specifically Aggies secondary coach Bryant Gross-Armiento, deserve credit for adding a genuinely electric athlete to their already talented 2024 recruiting class.
