2024 5-Star DL Dominick McKinley has committed to Texas A&M

Boom! Texas A&M has shocked the recruiting world after landing 2024 5-Star DL Dominick McKinley on Friday afternoon.

BOOM! 2024 five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley, who, for the last three months, has been predicted to land elsewhere, specifically Texas, Oklahoma, or LSU, has shocked the college football recruiting landscape after committing to Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M on Friday afternoon.

According to Rivals, McKinley is currently positioned as the 116th-ranked player in the 2024 cycle, the fourth-ranked defensive tackle prospect, and the fourth-ranked player in Louisiana, as he is set to enter his senior season at Acadiana (LA) after recording 86 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, ten sacks, and two interceptions during his impressive 2022 junior campaign.

Just days before committing, McKinley received an official prediction to land with the Aggies from Rivals insider Landyn Rosow, one of the only insiders who felt that Fisher and his staff had made early strides during the early portions of his recruiting journey. At the same time, Aggies defensive line coach Elijah Robinson’s impressive streak continues just one year after securing a commitment from five-star DL David Hicks Jr.

McKinley’s official visit to College Station on June 9 apparently sealed the deal, as early reports noted that he had made his mind up months in advance. With his addition, Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting team ranking is likely to rise multiple spots, getting closer and closer to a potential Top 5 finish.

Congratulations, Dominick! Gig ‘Em!
