Did you think Texas A&M and Head Coach Jimbo Fisher finished making recruiting headlines? Think again! After landing their 17th prospect in the 2024 cycle in the form of four-star safety Myles Jones on Wednesday, who, according to nearly every recruiting outlet, was predicted to land with Texas the Texas Longhorns by a large margin.
Well, not to openly criticize 247Sports Recruiting Director Steve Wiltfong, who was just one of the many analysts to mispredict Jones’ commitment, still holds a 96.79% accuracy rating per the 2024 class, so please, continue trusting his future predictions, especially his recent update on five-star athlete/wide receiver, Terry Bussey.
On Thursday, Wiltfong submitted his final prediction for Terry Bussey to land with Texas A&M after several Aggie insiders linked him to the program this summer; things have now become clearer ahead of Bussey’s current unconfirmed commitment date.
Bussey, who by all accounts is one of Texas A&M’s priority prospects in the cycle, is one of the most productive high school football players in the country, as his 2022 junior season stats at Timpson High School in Timpson, Texas, are just insane; throwing for 2,177 yards and 26 touchdowns with a 64% completion percentage as the starting quarterback while rushing for 2,596 yards and 46 touchdowns with a 14-yard per rush average. Bussey recorded over 115 tackles and five interceptions as a two-way player, with four returned for touchdowns as a defensive back.

According to 247Sports, Bussey is currently positioned as the 15th-ranked player in the class, the No.1-ranked Athlete, and the 2nd-ranked player in Texas. Speed, agility, and football intelligence gained from his position versatility have led Fisher and his staff to recruit him as a defensive back with clear potential at wide receiver based on his future development.
If Bussey commits to the Maroon and White, expect Texas A&M’s recruiting ranking to climb within the Top 5.
