The big day has finally been announced, as 2024 five-star athlete/wide receiver Terry Bussey, one of Texas A&M’s last remaining priority prospects in the 2024 cycle, has announced his commitment date for Thursday, Sept. 28, as we will choose between the Aggies, LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas.
Bussey’s recruiting ranking has stayed pat for most of the summer, currently positioned as the 20th-ranked player in the 2024 cycle, the 2nd-ranked athlete, and the 5th-ranked player in Texas, according to 247Sports Composite. From a prediction standpoint, Bussey has now received three “Crystal Balls” to land with Texas A&M. Oklahoma insider Collin Kennedy and national recruiting analyst Mike Roach join Steve Wiltfong and Brian Perroni in predicting what now seems inevitable.
Bussey’s position versatility and impressive track speed have led to nearly every program having to narrow down his sole future postion after spending time at quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back, as Fisher currently sees him as a cornerback in D.J. Durkin’s 4-2-5 scheme. Still, due to his extensive time at wide receiver, I wouldn’t be surprised if his future is in the slot.

Jimbo Fisher and his staff, most notably TJ Rushing and Bryant Gross-Armiento, deserve a ton of credit for the job done in developing a close relationship with Bussey going forward. The date is set, the work has been done, and now the waiting game begins for one of the country’s most talented prospects.
