2024 4-star Safety Jordan Pride set to visit Texas A&M this weekend

Texas A&M is set to host 2024 4-star safety Jordan Pride this coming weekend, as the Florida native is nearing a decision

Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher is dipping back into the Florida recruiting market, knowing the area very well as the former head coach at Florida State. As the focus remains on the 2024 recruiting cycle, shoring up the defensive backfield is an absolute must as multiple starters will depart after the 2023 season, especially at the safety position.

One prospect that has continued to stand out for the Maroon and White is 2024 four-star safety Jordan Pride, who according to 247Sports is ranked as the 6th safety in the class and the 18th-ranked player in Florida. After his impressive 2022 junior season with Blountstown High School in Blountstown, Florida, Pride recorded 20 tackles and 2 interceptions, including a pick-six, and caught 22 passes for 667 yards and 6 TD as a receiver on offense.

Pride is as versatile as they come, also competing in Basketball, Baseball, and Track in the football offseason, a trait that Fisher looks for in a prospect and nearly every position. After taking unofficial visits to both Florida and Florida State in the past two months, Pride will reportedly head to College Station this coming weekend.

Seen as more of a box safety in his current stage of development, Pride’s 6-2, 175-pound frame and length have aided him in the passing game to eliminate throwing windows on a consistent basis. Once entering a collegiate program, Pride will only get stronger and faster at the position, surely making him a priority recruit for the Aggies moving forward.
