Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class reflects the ever-changing nature of recruiting in the age of NIL, and even within its small sample size, its seven commitments represent a wide range of underrated prospects at nearly every position. So far this summer, several critical official visits could result in commitments also soon as Thursday night.
On Wednesday, Rivals/Aggie insider Landyn Rosow submitted his final prediction for 2024 four-star linebacker Jordan Lockhart to ultimately land with the Maroon and White, as Lockhart is set to announce his commitment on Thursday, June 22.
After taking an official visit to College Station on the weekend of June 9, Lockhart, a native of Bellflower, California, will visit USC this coming weekend, as the Trojans are currently dominating the recruiting landscape after landing several key prospects the last two weeks. According to Rivals, Lockharts is positioned as the 16th-ranked player in California and the 8th-ranked inside linebacker prospect in the 2024 cycle.

During his 2022 junior season at St. John Bosco, Lockhart recorded 60 tackles and 3.5 sacks on the year, possessing an elite blend of high-end athleticism and closing speed in coverage while showing a ton of potential as a pass rusher at the next level. Suppose the Aggies happen to land Lockhart on Thursday night. In that case, he will join three-star Tristan Jernigan as the second linebacker in the class, creating one of the better defensive duos to handle the middle of the defense in the future.
