Texas A&M’s growing 2024 recruiting class has yet to add a cornerback prospect to the cycle, as four-star safety duo Myles Davis and Jordan Pride remain the only defensive backs who have verbally committed to the Aggies thus far.
Looking at the current 2023 roster structure, the cornerback room, outside of 2023 freshmen Bravion Rogers and Jayvon Thomas, future depth could be better at one of the most pivotal positions in the game.
Even though the transfer market continuously provides experienced talent year after year, plenty of cornerback prospects remain uncommitted in the 2024 cycle, including four-star Oklahoma native and Aggie target Devon Jordan. On Wednesday, Jordan, who made an unofficial visit to College Station on June 23, released his Top 5 program list, which includes Oklahoma, TCU, Oklahoma State, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

According to 247Sports Composite, Jordan, who stands at 5-11 and 168 pounds, is currently positioned as the 35th-ranked cornerback in the class and 3rd-ranked player in Oklahoma. During his impressive 2022 junior season at Union (OK), Jordan recorded 43 tackles (34 Solo), six pass deflections, and two interceptions.
Without any predictions regarding his future destination, Jimbo Fisher and his productive recruiting staff are in a great position to land one of the more underrated athletes in the class.
