Former Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt will begin on-field testing at the 2023 NFL scouting combine on Saturday.
Hyatt made an immediate impression Friday during his media session at the NFL scouting combine.
Hyatt was asked Friday who he thought was the top wide receiver prospect in the 2023 NFL draft.
“Jalin Daveon Hyatt, definitely, No. 1,” Hyatt answered. “I’ll say I’m dynamic. I’ll say, just because y’all can say he’s a vertical guy, one-trick pony, he does this and that — I do a lot more than that.
“I can run routes. That comes easy to me. I can catch the ball and I have a good catch radius. I have long arms and catch everything with my hands.”
Hyatt carried himself confidently throughout his media session Friday. The All-American wide receiver believes his on-field performance will speak for itself at the next level.
“Not only that, you go look at the games last year, dig and dive down and actually get into the film, I feel like I’m unstoppable,” he continued. “I feel like nobody can guard me. I feel like they fear me when I get out there. I’ll definitely say I’m wide receiver one.”
The former Vol has the second-best odds to run the fastest 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, according to On3 Sports.
