After getting knocked out in the first round of the NFL playoffs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have now shifted their focus to an offseason full of hard decisions and big questions.
With a long list of pending free agents, and a daunting salary cap situation, the Bucs will need as much help as they can get from the 2023 NFL draft.
A couple of extra picks would be a huge help, and based on the latest projections from Over the Cap’s Nick Korte, the Bucs appear to be in line for a little help in that department.
Tampa Bay is in line to receive a pair of compensatory selections in this year’s draft, according to Korte’s projections:

Two extra picks on Day 3 might not look like much, but you never know what gems you may find in the later rounds.
If anything, the Bucs get the chance to add youth and depth at any number of positions of need, which should make training camp even more competitive.
