2023 NCAA Tournament: A look at the Tennessee-Duke basketball all-time series

No. 4 seed Tennessee (24-10, 11-7 SEC) will play fifth-seeded Duke (27-8, 14-6 ACC) in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Tipoff between the Vols and Blue Devils is slated for 2:40 p.m. EDT at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. CBS will televise the matchup.

Saturday will mark the 16th meeting between Tennessee and Duke.

The Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 8-7. Duke won the last meeting, 77-67, in Maui, Hawaii on Nov. 21, 2011.

The series dates to 1911 when the Vols and Blue Devils were Southern Conference rivals.

The teams have played one postseason game. Duke won in the 1971 NIT quarterfinals, 78-64, in New York, New York.
