Amid all the scheduled recruiting visits for Texas A&M this summer, whenever a high-ranking five-star prospect at any position announces their intentions to visit College Station, you know we’ve reached that exciting portion of the offseason.
On Monday, news dropped that 2024 five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman will take his official visit to Texas A&M this weekend, reported by Rivals and Aggie’s insider Landyn Rosow, who revealed the news through a tweet that afternoon.
Coleman took an unofficial campus visit on April 15 and has been slowly trending toward the Maroon and White. However, the competition for his talents comprises nearly every blue blood program in the country.
According to 247Sports, Coleman is currently positioned as the 17th-ranked player in the 2024 cycle, the 5th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 3rd-ranked player in Alabama, as he is set to enter his final senior season at Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. During his 2022 junior campaign, Coleman recorded 31 receptions for 542 yards and six touchdowns, and he’s looking to eclipse those numbers next season.
Outside of his visit this weekend, Coleman will also travel to Clemson (June 2), Auburn (June 12), and LSU (June 23), who remain the Aggies’ biggest opponents for Colemans’ commitment from now on.
