2022 NFL draft: Top pass-rushers to visit Jets simultaneously on Friday

Two of the draft’s top pass rushers may run into each other when they visit the Jets on Friday.

Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux and Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson will be in Florham Park simultaneously to meet with Gang Green, per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. The two arrived in New Jersey on Thursday night.

The expectation is that Hutchinson will be off the board by the time the Jets get to their first first-round pick, the fourth overall selection. So his visit with New York will likely result in nothing more than due diligence.

Thibodeaux, meanwhile, is more likely to be in play for the Jets, who could really use a dominant edge rusher. Thibodeaux was once expected to be the No. 1 pick, but his stock has taken a slight hit following an inconsistent 2021 season and questions about his love for football.

Should the Jets miss out on both players, other first-round options include Georgia’s Travon Walker, Purdue’s George Karlaftis and Florida State’s Jermaine Johnson.
