2022 Miami Dolphins’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Miami Dolphins, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

Few teams have had a more turbulent offseason than the Miami Dolphins, starting with firing of coach Brian Flores and subsequently being sued on charges that the organization and the NFL are racist. In hopes of deflecting the bad publicity, the Dolphins went on an unprecedented spending spree.

Below, we look at the Miami Dolphins 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Dolphins didn’t lose anyone in free agency that was indespensable, but what has arrived at South Beach is a call to arms. Heading the list was a blockbuster to trade for and extend the contract of WR Tyreek Hill — the game’s most electrifying receiver. But they weren’t done there.

In a signing spree, Miami added OTs Terron Armstead and Connor Williams, QB Teddy Bridgewater, WR Cedrick Wilson, CB Keion Crossen, RBs Raheem Mostert, Chase Edmonds and Sony Michel and FB Alec Ingold. Rarely has a team addressed so many needs on offense in one offseason.

As a result of making big moves, Miami traded away 5 draft picks, didn’t pick until 101 players were gone and didn’t add anyone who is expected to make an immediate impact. However, with the infusion of veteran talent, it was deemed worth the risk.

Miami Dolphins’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday, May 16 at 9:52 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 8.5 (O: -130 | U: +110)

This is a tough number because, despite turmoil within the organization with accusations of wanting to lose, thanks to a defense that improved greatly as the season progressed, the Dolphins won 9 games — giving them 19 wins over the last 2 seasons.

The 2022 Dolphins are better than either of the teams that won 10 and 9 games, respectively. It seems the oddsmakers don’t believe in Tua Tagovailoa (I’m with them on that), but for a team that made huge moves to get better, winning 9 games again this year seems like less of a stretch than it did a year ago.

TAKE THE MIAMI DOLPHINS AND THE OVER (-130)

Miami Dolphins’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

While the Dolphins look to be a team that will be viewed as a Super Bowl sleeper, they’re a sleeper for a reason. If you were to ask yourself who is better in the AFC than Miami, you would probably list 7 or 8 teams before the Dolphins. That isn’t a coincidence. Miami is on the radar to be a much improved team that can get the job done on both sides of the ball. But they’re just not there yet. PASS.

Miami Dolphins’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Dolphins make the playoffs: Yes +140 | No -170

The conventional wisdom is that Miami is facing too steep a mountain to climb to be a playoff team, but if the Dolphins can split with Buffalo and New England, it will be difficult to deny them 9 wins, despite a brutal schedule in December and January. However, by that time, the Dolphins may look like a completely different team once the new offensive reinforcements have been integrated into the team.

THE MIAMI DOLPHINS WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (+140)

Odds to win AFC East Division

  • Buffalo Bills -220 (bet $220 to win $100)
  • Miami Dolphins +400 (bet $100 to win $400)
  • New England Patriots +450 (bet $100 to win $450)
  • New York Jets +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

The Dolphins are likely in a battle with the Patriots for second place in the division because Buffalo looks to be locked and loaded for a Super Bowl run. The 4:1 return on investment is nice to see, but the only way the Dolphins provide legitimate competition this season to the Bills is if Tagovailoa steps his game up to a much higher level. He’s good enough to put them in the wild-card discussion, but Josh Allen would likely have to go down for the Dolphins to give Buffalo a run for its money. PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

As will likely be mentioned for many of the teams viewed as playoff hopefuls, but not championship contenders, the same argument is made — there are just too many good team in the conference to ignore.

Cincinnati made a run last year from the wild card, but the Bengals did so as division champions and had a home game to start the run. Miami likely won’t get that opportunity. PASS.
