2022 Indianapolis Colts’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Indianapolis Colts, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Indianapolis Colts barely missed the playoffs a season ago despite finishing second in the AFC South. The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7-1) beat out the Colts (9-8) for the last spot in the AFC Playoffs.

During the offseason, the Colts dealt starting QB Carson Wentz and traded for Falcons QB Matt Ryan. The 36-year-old Ryan has made a Super Bowl appearance, has thrown for over 4,000 passing yards 10 times and is 8th alltime with 59,735 passing yards.

The Colts haven’t won the AFC South since 2014. They have been to the playoffs 2 of the last 4 seasons, but haven’t been to Super Bowl since the 2006 season when they beat the Chicago Bears.

Below, we look at the Indianapolis Colts’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Indianapolis Colts’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday, May 16 at 7:27 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 9.5 (O: -135 | U: +110)

The Colts had a solid season a year ago, and they were among the teams that improved the most this offseason.

Ryan still has gas left in the tank, and the team’s offensive line, running back and defense were already among the best in the NFL. They added talent on their line and 2 potential weapons for Ryan in the first 3 rounds of the draft.

The Colts’ schedule is soft. It ranks tied for the 26th most difficult schedule. With 4 games against division opponents that should be easy wins, Indy has a chance to run the table with ease.

Nonetheless, at -135, I still wouldn’t take this bet to back the improved Colts.

Indianapolis Colts’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2000)

Indianapolis is tied with the 9th shortest odds to win it all. The Buffalo Bills (+600) are the favorites, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +2000, Indianapolis has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 4.8% or 20/1 fractional odds.

The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000.

Backing the COLTS (+2000) to win the Super Bowl for a 20-to-1 payoff is worth a small wager.

Indianapolis Colts’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Colts make the playoffs: Yes -160 | No +130

The Colts are going to get a major boost from their division schedule as AFC opponents like the Browns, Bengals, Broncos, and Chargers will also have far more difficult roads to the playoffs.

Again, much like the Colts’ win total, I like these odds for them to make the playoffs, but if there’s any value, it’s to fade Indy.

I wouldn’t suggest that, as on paper, the Colts seem like they should have a Super Bowl-contending roster. There are good ways to back the Ryan-RB Jonathan Taylor combo, just not here.

Odds to win AFC South Division

  • Indianapolis Colts +100 (bet $100 to win $100)
  • Houston Texans +2000 (bet $2000 to win $2,000)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Tennessee Titans +135 (bet $100 to win $135)

Indianapolis’ implied probability of winning the AFC South is 50% or 1/1 fractional odds.

The Titans are the only threat here. The Colts to win the AFC South actually is a solid bet considering how they updated during the offseason while the Titans traded away star WR A.J. Brown.

Bet COLTS +100 for a unit as the best Indy-backing bet.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +1200 (bet $100 to win $1,200)

While I think the Colts will win their division and expect them to exceed most projections, I don’t like them to win the AFC, especially considering it’s a conference with the QB Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs and the QB Josh Allen-led Bills.

There’s just too much talent, and I’d prefer to back Indy to get hot in the playoffs and make a run for the Super Bowl at +2000.
