Defending champion Min Woo Lee won the 2021 Scottish Open in a 3-way playoff with Thomas Detry (No. 187) and 2022 U.S. Open champ Matthew Fitzpatrick (No. 14).

Granted, Morikawa is only 32nd in SG: Total in this field over his last 24 rounds (per FantasyNational.com). But, Morikawa did finish T5 at the 2022 U.S. Open, which was at one of the toughest courses in the world.
Also, Morikawa is one of the few iron players in the world that could give Zalatoris a run for his money in that department. Morikawa is 1st in Proximity: 150-175 and 3rd in Proximity: 200-plus over the last 36 rounds.
Lastly, Morikawa excels on links golf courses and is The Open Championship defending champion. Link-style golf courses are known to get windy and Morikawa is 3rd in this field for SG: Total at courses with moderate to extremely windy conditions, according to FantasyNational.com.
