2022 Colorado Rockies World Series, win total, pennant and division odds

Looking at the 2022 MLB futures for the Colorado Rockies, including odds for the World Series, pennant, division and projected win total.

The Colorado Rockies will continue their rebuilding process in 2022. They finished last season 74-87 and in fourth place in the NL West, 32½ games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Below, we look at the Colorado Rockies’ MLB futures odds, including their projected 2022 win total and World Series odds at Tipico Sportsbook.

Before last season, they traded 3B Nolan Arenado. Now, they must move forward without SS Trevor Story, who signed a six-year contract in the offseason with the Boston Red Sox.

In the offseason, Colorado added free agent 3B Kris Bryant, the club’s biggest addition. They also signed SP Chad Kuhl and IF Jose Iglesias. They retained 1B C.J. Cron, RP Jhoulys Chacin and SP Antonio Senzatela. The did lose SP Jon Gray, who signed with the Texas Rangers.

Will these changes be enough to make the Rockies relevant in the playoff race?

Colorado Rockies’ 2022 World Series odds

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday, April 2 at 8:23 p.m. ET.

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Rockies are a definite long shot to win the World Series. While they have the same odds as the Washington Nationals, only three other teams have longer odds – the Arizona Diamondbacks (+20000), Baltimore Orioles (+30000) and Pittsburgh Pirates (+30000).

At +10000, Colorado has an implied probability of winning the World Series of 0.99% or 100/1 fractional odds.

The favorites to win it all are the NL West rival Los Angeles Dodgers (+480). They have the shortest odds, followed by the Houston Astros (+900) and Toronto Blue Jays (+900).

Backing the Rockies (+10000) to win the World Series certainly would give you a huge payout, but they are long shots for a reason. They are not on the same level as the top three teams – L.A., San Diego and San Francisco – in the division. They’ll be busy battling the Arizona Diamondbacks to stay out of the NL West cellar. PASS.

Colorado Rockies’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Rockies make the playoffs: Yes +1200 | No -3030

Colorado lost one of its best starters in Gray and one of its best bats in Story. The Rockies play well at home (48-33 last season) but have really struggled on the road (26-54 in 2021).

The NL West is a three-team battle for the division and playoff berth. The Rockies are not part of that group. PASS.

Colorado Rockies’ 2022 win total

Over/Under: 68.5 (O: -115 | U: -115)

The Rockies tempered their loss of Story with the addition of Bryant to the lineup. They should be a solid home team again, but as mentioned, the issue was their play on the road. Only three NL teams (Arizona, Pittsburgh and Miami) had fewer road wins.

Not counting the COVID-shortened 2020 season, they have had at least 71 wins in five consecutive seasons.

If they are roughly as good at home as they were last season, even bad road season will get them to at least 69 wins.

Take OVER 68.5 (-115).

Odds to win NL West Division

  • Los Angeles Dodgers -230 (bet $230 to win $100)
  • San Diego Padres +320 (bet $100 to win $320)
  • San Francisco Giants +480 (bet $100 to win $480)
  • Colorado Rockies +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)
  • Arizona Diamondbacks +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Rockies will not be in contention in the NL West. They finished 32½ games out of first a year ago. The Dodgers are the prohibitive favorites and the Rockies are rebuilding. PASS.

Odds to win National League

Odds: +5000 (bet $100 to win $5,000)

This continues to be a trend. The Rockies are not in contention to win the division. They are huge long shots to even make the playoffs. A team can’t win the pennant without making the postseason. Only three teams — the Nationals (+6000), Diamondbacks (+10000) and Pirates (+10000) — have longer odds to win the National League. PASS.
