With the sports world still, largely, at a full stop, our attention turns toward the future and where sports bettors are placing their wagers around the 2021 Super Bowl LV.
New to sports betting? A future bet is a wager on an event down the road, often many months ahead. The odds are typically longer and more profitable if you’re able to nail the winning ticket.
Super Bowl 55: Top 10 teams on total money bet
Data via BetMGM, last updated March 22nd.
1. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs (+600) are the defending champions and early favorite to win it all again next season. Having Patrick Mahomes under center is a huge help, plus this team retains most of their key ingredients that made the 12-4 ’19 season a success.
A $100 futures bet on the Chiefs would return a $600 profit at +600 odds should the Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl Champions.

2. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers (+800) were the NFC’s representative in last season’s Super Bowl and return a good portion of their talented team that went 13-3 a season ago. Can this be the year they take it to the next level and win it all? You’d return $80 profit on every $10 wagered if they do.
3. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens (+700) were picked by many to win it all a year ago following a 14-2 regular season that saw them become the AFC’s No. 1 seed. Despite a early departure from the playoffs, they remain one of the better squads in the AFC and QB Lamar Jackson has quickly proved to be a difference maker. His third year could be the charm. For every $10 wagered on Baltimore to win it all, you’d see $70 in profit with a Super Bowl victory.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Didn’t see this coming a month ago, did you?
The Buccaneers adding QB Tom Brady put them on the map for early Super Bowl bets. The odds on the Bucs became much shorter once Brady agreed to terms, so you’re not going to see quite as much reward now (+1600) that those putting $50 down on them at +6500 (to win $3,300) did, but $160 profit on every $10 wagered is still a nice payday should Brady win his seventh Super Bowl championship.
