Senior Bowl is rolling along, and Thursday’s practices gave prospects one last chance to impress in a high-intensity setting before things taper off with Friday’s lighter sessions in preparation for the game this weekend.
Here’s a roundup of all the news, notes and highlights from Thursday’s action in Mobile:
Wisc-Whitewater OG/C Quinn Meinerz broke a bone in his right hand today during practice, according to sources.
He played through the injury and finished practice and still plans to play in the game on Saturday. Tough dude. #SeniorBowl

So many flashbacks of Dennis Northcutt watching SDST WR Cade Johnson this week.
Play speed + toughness. Johnson is going to be a productive slot in the league.

#Alabama QB Mac Jones is doing what you're supposed to do here:
* Showing energy, leadership and football IQ
* Improving daily with coaching and time to gel with new WRs / really good practice Weds.
Now to finish strong.

There’s a track record of QBs using the @seniorbowl practice week to cement or boost their draft stock and there’s little doubt Mac Jones did that this week.
He brought his Alabama accuracy to practice, made good decisions, showed natural leadership.
A really impressive week.

DT Marvin Wilson, CB Robert Rochell and DL Malik Herring also in street clothes.
Herring on crutches (right leg). Wilson has his right knee wrapped.

No OT D’Ante Smith today. I’m told it’s a sprained ligament in his right thumb. Minor injury, but his #SeniorBowl week is done.
Smith had a fantastic first two days of practice. A lot of wins on his SB tape.

Really good to see Trey Smith getting work at left tackle. Technique needs taught–he's pretty primitive in pass pro–but the athletic tools are obvious.

#UCF safety Richie Grant is balling out again today. One of my favorite players in the draft this year.
