The Third Round
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select
Joseph Ossai makes it to the mock draft in the third round. Moving to the “Jack” role will only help to enhance his draft stock. Recently Jordan Reid of the Draft Nework called Ossai a sleeper in the draft. He led the team in sacks after a breakout performance against Utah in the Valero Alamo Bowl. This upcoming season, Ossai should have an even bigger impact now that rushing the passer will be a larger part of his job.
The Buccaneers like to employ plenty of pass rushers in Todd Bowles system. Ossai would join Shaquille Barrett and give them a young duo who could be a nightmare for NFC South offenses. Ossai would likely rotate with Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul until he proves his worth at the NFL level. Don’t sleep on Ossai this upcoming season, he is poised to have a monster year.
