The Second Round
The Dallas Cowboys select
Caden Sterns is viewed as one of the top safeties in the upcoming class provided he returns to his freshman form. With new defensive coordinator Chris Ash deploying his defense, Sterns is expected to have more of an impact in the upcoming season. Sterns has proven that he can be a difference maker by taking the ball away or blocking kicks. The Cowboys could use that in their secondary.
Currently there are rumors that the Cowboys are interested in another former Longhorns safety in Earl Thomas. Regardless on if they do or don’t sign him, Sterns should still be in play. Adding Sterns to that secondary with Trevon Diggs, Chidobe Awuzie, Xavier Woods can only enhance the backend of the defense.
