2021 3-round mock draft: Bills add playmakers then versatility

Here’s what the Buffalo Bills do in Draft Wire’s way-too-early 2021 NFL mock draft.

51. Buffalo Bills
Seth Williams | WR | Auburn

It does make more sense for the Bills to take a cornerback over a wide receiver, even though both spots have their depth. But wide receiver it’s harder to envision because Buffalo added two rookies to this mix at the 2020 Draft, Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Hodgins. As a fourth rounder, Davis you can see being around for awhile, but Hodgins is a sixth-round guy, so the jury is out.

Davis and Hodgins also both have something similar to Seth Williams as well: Size. So we’ll see how 2020 plays out before pegging Williams to the Bills, but you never know. Williams is a 6-foot-3 playmaker who actually could be a first-round talent. That’s what Sports Illustrated pegged him as a few months back.

83. Buffalo Bills
LaBryan Ray | DL | Alabama

At 6-foot-5, 292 pounds, LaBryan Ray is certainly a McDermott type of defensive lineman. He reminds one of the recently-signed Quinton Jefferson, who could potentially play both inside and outside of Buffalo’s defensive line. That alone likely makes sense for the Bills, but he could have the same problem as Williams. An SEC product, Ray is actually touted as one of the top 2021 defensive line prospects already. We’ll have to wait and see if he’s a Round 3 prospect by the time April rolls around.
