Here’s some information you can actually use for once. These are the important dates and happenings up until the NFL Draft, which will be held in Las Vegas from April 23-25 this year.
2/25/2020 to 3/2/2020: NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
2/25/2020: First day for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
3/10/2020: Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, deadline for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
3/16/2020 to 3/18/2020: Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2019 player contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 18.
3/18/2020: All clubs must be under the 2020 Salary Cap prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time.
NOTE: As per Spotrac.com, the Giants currently have an adjusted cap of $200,529,568 with $138,292,705 in active contracts and $4,014,783 in dead cap money, leaving them approximately $61,282,080 in open cap space.
3/18/2020: All 2019 player contracts will expire at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
3/18/2020: The 2020 league year and free agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
3/29/2020 to 4/1/2020: Annual League Meeting in Palm Beach, Florida.
4/6/2020: Clubs that hired a new head coach after the end of the 2019 regular season may begin offseason workout programs.
NOTE: The Giants are one of these teams.
4/17/2020: Deadline for Restricted Free Agents to sign offer sheets.
4/20/2020: Clubs with returning head coaches may begin offseason workout programs.
4/23/2020 to 4/25/2020: 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas.
After the draft….
4/27/2020: Beginning this date, NFL clubs may request permission to visit with, try out, or sign any player who was under contract to the XFL at the conclusion of the XFL season.
5/1/2020 to 5/4/2020: Clubs may elect to hold their one three-day post-Draft rookie minicamp from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday.
