The wait for the 2020 NFL draft is nearly over. While COVID-19 shutdowns will rob the event of its typical pomp and circumstance, the draft will roll on all the same with coaches and front office personnel operating out of isolated locations.
While there won’t be a big stage and studio show in Las Vegas, there’ll still be a television broadcast spread across three days.
Here’s what the TV schedule looks like:
Thursday, Round 1 | 5:00pm PST | ABC/ESPN/NFL Network
Friday, Rounds 2-3 | 4:00pm PST | ABC/ESPN/NFL Network
Saturday, Rounds 4-7 | 9:00am PST | ABC/ESPN/NFL Network
And here’s a reminder of when the 49ers are scheduled to pick.
Round 1, Pick 13 (via Indianapolis)
Round 1, Pick 31
Round 5, Pick 156 (via Denver)
Round 5, Pick 176
Round 6, Pick 210
Round 7, Pick 217 (via Detroit)
Round 7, Pick 245
Going into the draft, San Francisco isn’t slated to pick on Day 2. That could very likely change early on with a trade back in the first round. This year is a very important draft for the 49ers when it comes to extending their championship window, so adding some picks in the middle rounds will be essential.
