KNOXVILLE — Former Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings has been selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jennings was taken in the seventh round (pick No. 217) by the San Francisco 49ers.
The former Vol had two iconic plays in 2016 with a 67-yard touchdown in a victory over Florida and catching a game-winning 43-yard Hail Mary with no time left at Georgia the next week. During the same season, against Kentucky, Jennings made an interception on a Wildcat Hail Mary in the closing seconds of the first half.
The Tennessee native played in 50 games at UT, totaling 146 receptions for 2,153 yards and 18 touchdowns through the air.
The 2020 NFL Draft will take place Thursday through Saturday and will be televised on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
Round 1 will kickoff at 8 p.m. ET Thursday, and rounds 2 and 3 will be held Friday beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The 2020 NFL Draft will conclude Saturday with Rounds 4 through 7 starting at noon ET.
