Seeing Terrell Lewis go to New England at No. 23 overall might be considered a bit premature with his injury history and limited production at Alabama, but there are few pass rushers available in this class with his upside.

In some ways, Lewis has reminded me of another long, physically imposing edge player who found a lot of success with the Patriots — Chandler Jones, who is now a double-digit sack guy for the Cardinals.

There are still a lot of holes on Josh McDaniels’ offense, but the edge position on defense is still a major need. Lewis would go a long way in filling that void, as long as he can stay healthy.
