Cole Kmet | Notre Dame

Kmet broke out in 2019, catching 43 passes for 515 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions. He took the jump by declaring for the NFL this year, even after just one solid year of production with the Fighting Irish. He’s a good route-runner and solid ability to make things happen after the catch. He’s still developing, though, with respect to his blocking skills as a complete tight end. He won’t burn anyone with speed, but he was able to find some separation on his routes. He will improve with more experience in all facets of his game.

Adam Trautman | Dayton

Trautman was the Pioneer League Offensive Player of the Year. He recorded 70 receptions for 916 receiving yards and 14 touchdown receptions. He dominated FCS competition. He’s an interesting performer, as there is a wide range of opinions on him; some mocks have him as high as the second round, while others have him being selected well into day three. Nevertheless, he has the size and athleticism to make a mark at the pro level. He will need to improve the finer details of his game, though, as the NFL vs. the Pioneer League are two different stratospheres.
