2020 NBA Draft: Nets’ 5 best options in first round

The Brooklyn Nets are projected to have the 20th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, though that could change if the league manages to resume play.

Like Smith, Jones is a player who could move up this list if the Nets were to move on from one of their younger veterans. In this case, it’d be a ball-handler — meaning Spencer Dinwiddie or Caris LeVert.

Even though Bradley Beal’s agent shut down the idea of the Washington Wizards move his client, the Nets reportedly internally discussing ways to acquire the guard shows Brooklyn could make a move for another name. A move along those lines would almost certainly have to include either Dinwiddie or LeVert. So it could happen — making Jones a good candidate at No. 20. Especially since he can impact the game without scoring.
