Reliable hands for the Air Raid.

An aggressive passing offense can’t operate without quality wide receivers and the next entrant on our list of Mountain West football’s best players in 2020, Nevada’s Elijah Cooks, was just that for a Wolf Pack attack in transition.

After grabbing six touchdowns in his 22 catches back in 2018, Cooks established himself as one of the conference’s best last fall with 76 receptions for 926 yards and eight scores. He might have been the number one option anywhere in the Mountain West once the calendar flipped to November, too, averaging eight catches and 100 receiving yards in the team’s last five games.

He enters 2020 as the leader of what could be one of the conference’s most exciting offenses, with starting quarterback Carson Strong back for his second season at the helm, so his senior year is one that’s almost certain to be can’t-miss viewing.
