Adversity is the fuel
Maybe the Bills’ best option with Moss is to bench him for a game or two. It worked for Utah. Speaking to the Daily Utah Chronicle in college, Moss discussed how some bumps and bruises, disappointements, and not getting playing time in his first college season, at times, fueled the heck out of him.
“[Adversity] drove me. I remember the Cal game a few years ago vividly. It was one of the most painful games I’ve ever played in, and it drove me to get to better heights and to prove the type of player that I am and to prove the type of man I am,” Moss said. “Sitting here now a couple years after my freshman year and after a couple injuries, it’s taught me to fight through everything and that adversity doesn’t always last.”
In that Cal game, Moss was referring to a game that went down to the wire. In the end, Utah lost 28-23. Near the dying moments of the game, Moss was stuffed with 14 seconds left at the goal line.
He didn’t struggle much after that point, as the numbers indicate.
It is fun watching Zack Moss run over and around people. Check out his balance… #Bills pic.twitter.com/WPWnBII8AA
