A McDermott guy
It’s been a little bit since we’ve gotten a guy like Winters in western New York. An offensive lineman? No, no. The Bills have signed plenty of those. We mean a true McDermott type of player.
The running joke with McDermott is his past as a wrestler. The similarities between wrestling’s hand-to-hand… or body-to-body play that is found in the trenches in football is easy to see.
And what do you know? Winters is a former high school wrestler. Right up McDermott’s alley, who was also a wrestler-football player. Per Bleacher Report, at Hudson High School in Ohio, he was a standout on the mat. So much so that he represented the United States, earning second-team all-tournament honors at the inaugural IFAF Junior World Championship.
Brian Winters has taken his game to the next level this season. Check out this nasty jump set & finish on Derek Wolfe. Pass pro is not passive: pic.twitter.com/dqs3rtsf3I
