Took part in anthem protests in different way
The NFL is not far removed from the Colin Kaepernick days. The former quarterback took a stand for social issues in the United States by taking a knee during the national anthem before games. Players around the NFL showed their support by also taking a knee, some Bills players included.
Jefferson did with some teammates as well, but in a different way. Along with a few of his teammates, he would leave warmups and go back to the locker room for the anthem and then come back:
