Shorter preseason?

Reportedly the NFL is considering making the season shorter in one way: Axing off preseason games. By doing so, the league would be hoping to prevent spreading of the coronavirus between players by having fewer exhibition games. Currently the league is slated to have their usual four per-team (or five).

So where does McDermott sit on the fence of preseason games? Well… no where. McDermott said whatever happens, happens.

“Whatever the league decides we’ll roll with,” “I’ve been in this league long enough to know you’ve got to be adaptable.”

For what it’s worth, the league, which will play 17 regular season games next season, is likely to cut preseason games in 2021. So this offseason could be a bit of a tune up for how that’s going to go.
