Thoughts on the Sabres

While McDermott is involved with the Bills, he’s also a member of “One Buffalo” and Pegula Sports and Entertainment. The other entity there, the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL, made a massive overhaul of the front office, highlighted by the dismissal of general manager Jason Botterill. Some speculation insists that this is because the team won’t be generating revenues while they don’t play again for months and months.

On this topic, McDermott said he’s confident that the Pegulas are committed to winning with the Bills and added he couldn’t comment much on the Sabres. McDermott did say he’s rooting for the Sabres and is pulling for the hockey team’s head coach, Ralph Krueger, to succeed in the future.
