College, NFL players testing positive

Recently college football, namely at the University of Houston, and NFL, again, namely in Texas with teams like the Cowboys and Texans, have seen the coronavirus infect players. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was the most prominently named player who contracted Covid-19.

Across the country, numbers and figures are mightily different for the pandemic. Because New York State has been stricter with closing down, reported cases are down in its borders. Texas is among a grouping of states that have had looser restrictions. Because of this, cases there are higher.

Still, when asked about these new cases popping up, McDermott said the Bills will actually plan for Covid-19 to show up in their own clubhouse.

“We have contingency plans in place, just based on how things are going in our country. That… there’s probably a pretty good chance that this could come up here in Buffalo,” McDermott said. “The better question is, how are we going to respond?”

The coach will naturally hope this is not the situation that unfold, but being one step ahead is something that would’ve helped the entire United States as a whole with the pandemic, so at least your football team is doing the right thing.
