Ed Oliver’s arrest
Wednesday was the first time the Bills coach spoke since second-year defensive tackle Ed Oliver was arrested for DWI. Since that occurred on May 16, Oliver reportedly was, and presumable has still been, involved in the team’s offseason program.
In regard to his own thoughts on what happened, McDermott kept it to a business answer:
“We’ve spoken with Ed. It’s a situation we take seriously like all situations under that umbrella. We have spoken with Ed. Where we are at now is letting the legal process to run its course, so I’m going to leave it at that.”
