PSE situation

Earlier this offseason, The Athletic dropped an insider piece on Pegula Sports and Entertainment. It centered around the culture of that entity which Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula own along with the Bills and NHL’s Buffalo Sabres. While not directly involved with PSE, the story cited something with the Bills and McDermott. Reportedly McDermott had some worry and any bad vibes from that situation could spill over to the Bills.

When asked, here’s McDermott’s full response to his reported reaction:

“Yeah, any concern that I have is addressed directly to Terry and Kim (Pegula). And then outside of that, overall, I’m encouraged where things are going. As you know, when we arrived here a few years ago, I think things have changed drastically since that time. I’m focused on the Bills and I’m focused on leading a football team and leading an organization along with Brandon Beane, to the best of my ability. I’m excited about the future, I really am. I’m excited about the people we have brought on board and to me it’s… obviously no one wants what’s going on now, and the challenges we have, but it’s an exciting time in Buffalo and I’m proud to be apart of it.
