Jake Fromm’s situation

One of Allen’s backups, rookie quarterback Jake Fromm, got into some bad headlines recently because of some racially-charged texts resurfacing. Allen is no stranger to this, as he also had some previous messages surface as well. When asked about Fromm’s situation considering he went through something similar, he’s a good chunk of what Allen had to say about it:

“Honestly I didn’t talk to him too much about it. I sent him a text, ‘I love you, I’m here for you if you need anything.’ He owned up to his mistakes and he talked to the team and if anybody had any questions about him, they went and asked him and asked him directly. It’s a shame that, that happened… He was extremely sorry and regretful and super hurt by it. He didn’t mean to cause anybody pain. I think the guy responded very well. Still going to be a hill that he’s going to continue to climb with the guys in the locker room. Going back to 2018 when I got drafted, my thought was to get into the locker room and show them who I really was as a person and I can say, without a doubt, guys know who I am now.”
