Then and now

At one time Allen was a rookie and raw. He still might be considered just that, but now he’s got two full pro seasons under his belt. Looking back at his first offseason in the NFL to now, Allen said things about his mechanics feel completely different. The QB even said now, compared to last season, there’s been big changes.

“I feel like it’s night and day,” Allen said. I think that, even going back to last year, seeing some of the bad habits that would show up. The mistakes are like, ‘Why am I doing this?’

Allen said he’s trying to improve some things “at the top” of his throwing motion, however, he added it’s been a bit of a full-body makeover at times in terms of his throwing style. The arm is important, but so is the body and feet when chucking a football down the field.
