Handling the QBs
Dolphins head coach Brian Flores will have a decision to make in a few weeks: Ryan Fitzpatrick or rookie Tua Tagovailoa? That’s the decision for opening day, is naturally important for the Bills to watch. First, the Dolphins are in the AFC East. Second, the Bills and Dolphins meet in Week 2.
So how is Flores going to pick his QB? He discussed that at the start of their training camp recently. It’s going to be a even keeled approach says Dolphins Wire.
“I know there’s a lot of people that want to talk about Tua and I understand it; but at the same time, he’s a young player, this is his first NFL training camp. I think he’s got to take it one day at a time and not think about what’s realistic for the season. I think we just need to take a one day at a time approach,” Flores said.
Fitzpatrick has already said he looks forward to being Tagovailoa’s veteran mentor, but he also wants to play, too. Fitzpatrick plans to push for playing time of his own. He won’t just move over for the rookie.
