New York Jets
Jets PUP
Like the Patriots, a few players were moved to the PUP list last week by the Jets. The team announced Thursday that placed quarterback Joe Flacco (neck), tight end Ryan Griffin (ankle rehab) and linebacker Avery Williamson (ACL rehab) were played on it. The Jets also placed tight end Daniel Brown on the Non-Football Injury list.
According to Jets Wire, only Flacco is expected to miss time in the regular season. He had surgery on his neck this offseason, and probably will not be able to hit the practice field until September. Flacco signed a one-year deal with the Jets worth $1.5 million this offseason to backup Darnold.
Williamson is also a potentially big miss for the Jets. Like Mosley, the Jets missed Williamson last season after he suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason. The two were expected to be two of the Jets’ key defenders in 2019.
