Following a successful development tenure, Jack Zweifel of Limerick, Pennsylvania will graduate into the Radical Cup North America program in 2024 with Group-A Racing. Zweifel will compete in the ultra-competitive PRO 1500 Class.

Zweifel got his start late in 2020 with Group-A Racing’s Jonathan Scarallo as his private coach, working with him in the Lucas Oil School program in his first taste of on-track action. From there, he advanced to a Radical SR3 XX 1500 to run on member days at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP). While testing at NJMP, Jack continued to receive trackside support and developmental coaching from Group-A Racing to speed up his learning process until he transitioned to compete in the Northeast region of both SCCA & NASA.

He continued on that path in 2023, making quick moves up the grid and winning his classes on a more frequent basis. At the end of the year, Zweifel was able to clinch the championship in the Super Unlimited class for the Northeast region in NASA driving a Radical SR3 campaigned by Group-A Racing.

Zweifel will now take the next step in his development ,which will be his first foray into the pro ranks competing in Radical Cup. He will compete in the PRO 1500 class, which has traditionally been where the young guns groom their talent in the series as a launching pad up the motorsports ladder. Zweifel will incur many new challenges as every track will be new to him, and the environment of the high-profile IndyCar weekends that Radical Cup mainly competes on will also be new. All these things as part of the never-ending learning and development under the stewardship of Group-A Racing’s owner Scarallo.

“I am excited about Jack moving up to the pro series with us,” said Scarallo. “He has been working hard at his craft on the regional level with this goal the entire time. I’ve been fortunate to be involved with him from literally the first lap he ever has done in a race car, transition to a Radical, and now to the pro series of Radical Cup. In many ways, he is the staple of what our development program is all about and can’t wait to see him make the next steps of progress in 2024.”

“I’m excited to embark on this new chapter of my career and drive with Group-A Racing,” added Zweifel. “I’ve been working towards this goal for over a year now under the guidance of Jonathan Scarallo. I’m looking forward to the Radical Cup test at Sebring in January. I am excited about the new challenges, such as new tracks and all the good talent in the field. My goal is to learn quickly, be consistent, and win races. I’m ready to give it my all.”

Zweifel will get his first taste of Radical Cup when he participates in the series test at Sebring International Raceway next week. Six weeks later the series will kick off at Sebring as part of the USAC weekend, from there four consecutive IndyCar weekends across North America, and lastly finish at the famed Sonoma Raceway with USAC.
