New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson scored a career-high 35 points Sunday night for his 11th straight game with at least 20 points, the most by a teenager in NBA history.
Williamson led the Pelicans in the 122-114 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers as LeBron James notched his 94th career triple-double with 34 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. The win by the Lakers completed a 4-0 regular-season sweep of the Pelicans.
After his career performance, Williamson shared a moment with James but it was JaVale McGee that walked away with some memorabilia as Williamson gifted the veteran center his game-worn jersey. The exchange was one-sided, though, as Williamson didn’t receive McGee’s jersey.

The contest between the two teams capped off an exciting week of basketball as they played each other last Tuesday, as well. With the Pelicans in the hunt for a playoff berth, they could find themselves matched up the Lakers in the first round, a matchup that would prove to be highly entertaining.
