Tennessee and head coach Rick Barnes have signed Zakai Zeigler to play for the Vols.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound point guard is from Immaculate Conception School in New York.
Zeigler has enrolled at the University of Tennessee and will be eligible to play as a freshman during the 2021-22 basketball season.
He will wear jersey No. 5 for the Vols.
Zeigler joins Tennessee’s 2021 signing class that includes Jonas Aidoo, Kennedy Chandler, Quentin Diboundje, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, Jahmai Mashack, Handje Tamba and Auburn transfer Justin Powell.
The Vols tip off its 2021-22 season on Nov. 9 against UT Martin at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Barnes enters his seventh season as Tennessee’s head coach.
