The Minnesota Vikings are currently 5-1 with a defense that can best be described as Gumby: bend but don’t break.
Gumby had his own television show from back in the day where he and his horse Pokey would have adventures. Gumby was known for being super elastic and flexible which is why he is the poster child for bend but don’t break.
The defense itself has some really pivotal pieces on it and none of them have been playing better than Za’Darius Smith. He ranked as the fourth-best defensive player in the National Football League in week six per PFF.

This past week, Smith was tremendous. He was constantly in the backfield garnering 11 pressures and two sacks on the day along with springing Patrick Jones II for his first of two sacks.
With Danielle Hunter starting to come into form, the Vikings are in really good shape moving forward.
