BOSTON — Former University of Tennessee baseball player Zack Godley has signed with the Boston Red Sox.
Godley was recently released by the Detroit Tigers.
Godley has played in the big leagues since 2015. He has spent the majority of his Major League career with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The former Vol was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 10th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.
Godley was traded to Arizona in 2014.
In 2018, he went 15-11 for the Diamondbacks. In 2019, he was designated for assignment and claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays.
