Similar to other card games such as Cardfight!! Vanguard Zero, rather than pulling cards from packs, players can craft specific cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel with the use of materials. Master Duel has split these types of materials into four categories: N, R, SR, and UR, which stand for Normal, Rare, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare.
Though each archetype/engine has specific URs to craft that work in tandem, there is an assortment of URs that are of utmost priority for duelists. These URs can be used in any deck, and provide a wide array of counters with beneficial effects that will often make them the winning cards in a tough duel.
