Young Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey has been able to take big steps forward in the NBA thus far as he has morphed his game to become an elite 3-point shooter and a feared scorer.
Maxey is one of the top 3-point shooters at 42.7% in the 2021-22 season and he shot a blistering 48% from deep after the All-Star break when James Harden joined them.
Now, the young star is back in the gym again working on acrobatic layups and finishes depending on the situation. Maxey posted a video on his Instagram story from trainer Chris Johnson as he is working on jumping off the wrong foot on layups and finishing over his head.

Maxey and the Sixers are expected to once again contend in the Eastern Conference as they have a solid Big 3 in the form of Joel Embiid, Harden, and the young man out of Kentucky. If Maxey continues to develop, he should be able to make his first All-Star appearance in 2023.
